The rules of the road
Terms of Service
Acceptance
By using The Peptide File, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, the right move is to stop using the site. These terms are between you and the entity operating The Peptide File. JoyBoy is the pen name of the writer, not the legal counterparty.
What this site is
An educational website written by a pseudonymous author who is not a doctor, does not claim clinical credentials, and does not provide medical advice. The site publishes summaries of human research on peptides, regulatory status, source-safety education, and clearly labeled personal opinion. See the medical disclaimer for the full framing.
Permitted use
You may read, link to, and share articles on this site in the normal way a reader shares a blog. You may quote short passages with a link back to the original article. You may discuss the content with your own clinician. You may save articles for personal reference.
Prohibited use
- You may not scrape, copy, or republish the site’s content in bulk without written permission.
- You may not use the content to train machine-learning models without written permission.
- You may not use the site’s name, logo, or the JoyBoy pseudonym to imply endorsement of any product, service, clinic, vendor, pharmacy, or protocol.
- You may not represent yourself as the author or as affiliated with the site.
- You may not attempt to deanonymize the author.
Not medical advice
Everything on this site is educational content. Nothing is medical advice. Nothing is a treatment recommendation. The site does not create a doctor-patient relationship, a clinician-patient relationship, or any other professional relationship. You must talk to a qualified clinician before making decisions about your body. See the full medical disclaimer.
No vendor facilitation
The Peptide File does not sell, distribute, recommend, or facilitate the acquisition of any peptide compound. I do not name vendors, pharmacies, marketplaces, or sellers. I do not link to product pages. I do not take affiliate revenue. If you read anything on this site as a recommendation to buy, you are misreading it. Go back and read it again.
Third-party links
The site links to published research (PubMed, FDA, regulatory bodies), official government sites, and educational resources. I do not control those sites and I am not responsible for their content. The presence of a link is not an endorsement beyond the specific reason the link is there.
Intellectual property
All content on this site, including text, images, structure, and the editorial framework, is the intellectual property of the entity operating The Peptide File, unless otherwise credited. You may not reproduce substantial portions of the content without written permission. Short quotes with a clear link back are fine.
Email and subscriptions
If you sign up for the newsletter, a lead magnet, or the Phase 2 waitlist, you are subscribing to receive emails from The Peptide File. You can unsubscribe at any time. Email handling is governed by the privacy policy.
Web app (future)
When the web app at app.thepeptidefile.com launches, additional terms will apply to app accounts, including terms specific to free and paid tiers. Those terms will be presented at signup. Nothing in the current site terms should be read as a description of the future app terms.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site is provided on an as-is basis. I make no warranty about the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness of the content for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent allowed by law, neither the operator of the site nor JoyBoy is liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the site or reliance on its content. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of the site and JoyBoy from any claims arising out of your use of the site, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The last-updated date at the bottom of this page is authoritative. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operating entity is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction.
